Changing Room viewers slam room designed by Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen💥👩💥💥👩💥

Changing Rooms viewers have slammed Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen’s design on last night’s episode – comparing the room to a ‘crematorium’.

Maria and Nick, from Cardiff, had the challenge of making over the uninspiring front room belonging to their pals Teresa and Andrew into a cosy family space with the help of Laurence.

The maximalist designer opted for a room featuring splashes of black decor, an elaborate geometric mural and faux concrete panels – but Teresa wasn’t keen, saying the room reminded her of a ‘funeral parlour’.

Viewers soon shared their views on the room, with one joking that Laurence is ‘wrecking homes for laughs’ while another called the room’s transformation ‘horrible’.

Initially, Laurence received a positive from Maria and Nick about his paint choices of Swansdown, yellow and a splash of back.

‘This is something you must join me in with, that is the pasta, we will be putting sauce with that which will turn this around. How will she feel about black?’, asked Laurence.

‘She’ll kill me, but I love it!’, said Maria.

But despite Maria’s faith in Laurence, Teresa wasn’t a fan of the black paint and curtains, comparing them to a ‘funeral parlour’.

Upon seeing their new living room for the first time, Maria said: ‘I like the ceiling, I love the sofa and the lay out.’

Host Anna Richardson needled her further asking: ‘We’ve re-imagined the fireplace, what do you think?’

A hesitant Teresa said: ‘Um…not sure yet. There is alot of black going around. I’m not a fan of the black curtain, the black reminds me of a funeral parlour. I think I will have a little less black.’

Viewers were quick to take to Twitter with their views, with one writing: ‘She’s right. It’s horrible. Black and yellow is very 2015. The black curtains are very Crematorium #ChangingRooms.’

Another said: ‘You can’t convince me that Laurence isn’t just wrecking homes for lolz #ChangingRooms.’

‘It’s a pretty bad sign when Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen’s colour scheme seems understated compared to yours, lads.’, wrote a third.

Elsewhere in the show, Teresa and Andrew were tasked with transforming their friend’s stark, white living room diner into a multi-functional family space with the help of Russell Whitehead and Jordan Cluroe.

However Jordan and Russell receive a less than enthusiastic response from Teresa and Andrew after revealing they had chosen terracotta, neon green and blue for the living room – with Maria insisting her friend would ‘kill her’.

Upon revealing the first colour, both Teresa and Andrew both looked aghast, but Jordan reassured them: ‘This is the buildings of Milan!’

After taking her hands away from her mouth, Teresa said: ‘I’ve got no words other at the moment. I’m shocked.’

‘So where do you think we might be using this colour?’, asked Russell.

Andrew instantly replied: I don’t know, down the drain possibly. I can’t visualise that.’

After admitting he was ‘nervous’ about the terracotta, Andrew guessed the next colour ‘has got to be an ice cream, pistachio? I have this feeling.’

Instantly after revealing the neon green paint Teresa said it was ‘too bright’, but Andrew was fond of the vibrant shade.

‘I love the second colour, I love bright colours’, he said.

The final colour was blue, with Teresa quickly expressing her discontent about the blue colour, saying: ‘we’re going to paint an ice cream cone on the wall. Maria will kill me.’

But luckily for Russell and Jordan, Maria and Nick were thrilled with their room’s make-over, insisting that they ‘loved’ the finished design.
